Baker in the Community
Giving back
At Baker Electric Home Energy, we’re not just located in a community. Like you, we’re part of the community. We value our involvement across Southern California cities, counties and neighborhoods; and we take an active role in solar energy education and research to build a better tomorrow for the families of Southern California.
We’ve helped lead the way in bringing less costly, more environmentally-friendly solar energy systems to private homes and commercial enterprises throughout the SoCal region. For many years, we’ve served as an active member of the California Solar Energy Industries Association. We share the organization’s commitment to promoting solar energy and expanding the use of solar technology across the state and at national levels through policy development, advocacy and education.
Our business has not only helped transition others to use solar but we are solar energy users ourselves which we believe has made a significant impact on the environment and the health of our communities. Since 2009, our Escondido-based corporate headquarters has been powered by an 85 kW rooftop solar panel installation. Every year, our system reduces CO2 emissions by 12.9 tons. Over 25 years, the effects on CO2 reduction is comparable to having planted 41.3 acres of trees.

Baker Electric Home Energy has proudly partnered with dozens of nonprofit organizations through donations, sponsorships, and volunteering. The Baker Way extends beyond customer service to community service.
